Why “Models of Hope”?
“The World we live in today needs hope, maybe more than at any time in Humanity’s history. This is the second edition of the eBook . . . because content we had been producing since August 2020 for The Kindest Revolution online weekly newspaper provided us with much learning about “Models of Hope” as Rose and I interviewed, wrote about and learned of individuals and organisations actively engaged in the growing Sustainability Movement.”—, SuZen

The Sustainability Movement is Growing
We knew the Sustainability Movement was growing as we wrote about it week in, week out in The Kindest Revolution Weekly Newspaper, now extinct. We spoke to and listened to change-makers, vitality agents, visionaries and hope-bringers.
We knew when we started out that the “pillars” of Sustainability” are four distinct areas: human, social, economic and environmental. I wanted to also add spirituality. For example, if human sustainability aims to maintain and improve the human capital in society then to do so means recognising that our spiritual needs are also essential.
In this small digital eBook we incorporated insights from interviews and articles: over the 4 months of writing we learned from people who not only have a personal definition of “Sustainability” but one that is positively and actively woven through their own life and work: “Models of Hope”.

Models of Hope is a book about just that: hope. Humanity is facing colossal challenges and it can be difficult to see a positive road ahead, but there is one. Hope remains despite adversity, and we can find it in the form of sustainability.
A small ebook: 5 chapters and 55 pages . . . it’s conversational and it reads like a newspaper, which is exactly how it was born.

“Thanks for sharing your thoughtful new book, so hopeful and inspiring. I love… that you used the epilogue of my book as more-or-less the epilogue of yours! I guess not that much has changed in all the years since 1991.” —Vicki Noble, Author of Shakti Woman, 1991
