Welcome

Step 11 today, and welcome . . . today is the first of 3 days’ of practice in the “Dwelling in Essence of Self” meditations. Our inner journey gets deeper.

This series of meditations grew with experience in my own meditation journey nearly 30 years ago. As I journeyed deeper into meditation, so this experience grew and became richer and more powerful for my own healing. I’ve taught this so many times over the years . . . and many times the reaction has been, ” . . . if meditation was so easy, why didn’t I know this sooner?” I am privileged to give this practice to you now.

So, today in our practice we have wisdom for today, daily practice with saddhana, dedication and intention followed by Part 1 in “Dwelling in Essence of Self”—this is in the Yogic tradition—and later for evening practice, I give you some verse from Self is a Sea from Step 10 for deeper contemplation and we’ll use “heart knowledge” as the mantra for Gentle Calm breathing.

“Your hearts know in silence, the secrets of the days and the nights . . .

but your ears thirst for the sound of your heart’s knowledge . . .”

 

10 minutes of Gentle Calm with soft rainsticks: breathe rhythmically using “heart knowledge” as your mantra

 

 

Take step 12 at the link below, and this is the time you’ll need to set aside for your practice. Read my welcome intro, take 10 minutes or so in contemplation with wisdom for the day, then we have daily practice around 14 minutes,  and evening practice of around 12 minutes.

Take each step at least one day at a time.
