We’re Here to See it all Differently . . . New Vision, New Seeds

You know that I think we are a Tribe who’ve come out of the past with a mission for Humanity’s Future—for a better world, with a better vision and reality-plan for both mankind and planet. As a collective, we’ve done this many, many times before so we know the territory.

When the ages change, like now as the Age of Pisces transitions into Age of Aquarius, all we have is the past to enable us to distill wisdom from experiences and use our vision, imagination, genius to come up with seed ideas and images for the future. [Read more on our Tribe “We’ve Come out of the Past” here and watch my YouTube video here.]

So exactly where we are right now, is at the closing of the old and beginning of the New Age. The past can only help us to a certain degree: honouring ancestors and traditions helps, being aware of history and what has gone before helps, being mindful of culture, cycles and evolution helps.

Essentially, we have to know our Karma when we meet it again so we can neutralise it and empower the Great Soul of Humanity.

We’re an Evolutionary Force

Because that’s what our mission is about, moving forward with a soul-force to empower Humanity’s transformation. We are evolution, we’re an evolutionary force for an empowered future. How do we do it? We ARE “doing it”. . . we’re here, being alive and happy to be alive now, and we see it all differently. We may seem ordinary, we are probably all ordinary people: we have to live and thrive as human beings on a daily basis . . . but we KNOW we’re divine beings acting as channels for change—we use our Spiritual Vision to see life, the whole, or existence, from the viewpoint of Humanity’s Great Soul.

‘I call us the “New Humanity Being”—a collective group with a buddha-like force for change.’

Steps to Accepting our Destiny

The steps are simple and dedication to simplicity takes devotion, daily practice, a radical commitment to our identity: this is maturing. Acceptance of our destiny takes maturity. In Ancient Eastern Wisdom Traditions of Yoga, Zen, Tao, or any of the mindfulness paths we “empty” ourselves of all the limiting views, teachings and beliefs that have conditioned our thinking and behaviour in this lifetime. These will have come from parents, society and culture, the greater whole of the past age.

Getting to the Living Mind

I teach you in this step in your development as a multi-dimensional teacher, to get to your “Living Mind”. And the result is, instead of being bound-up or caught-up in dead, lifeless energy you can bind yourself to your Soul’s direction, along with your Tribe: a path to bliss. Specifically, I teach this as the 100-day initiation to “uncluster the living mind” for the members in our community.

Realisation of Unity

Realisation of the unity in all things usually comes next as a spiritual development step, maybe changing some of your life-style habits to become more empathic . . .  to grow compassion and kindness: focusing on positive self-power.

Transforming Essence

Most important is activating and accelerating our Spiritual Vision, so we can “see” with Divine eyes. We see life, our own life, and all its tensions and challenges in a more empowering way, and this is transformational . . . the essence of the way we live transforms powerfully. If you haven’t already, you can take some simple steps to practice here.

New Vision, New Seeds

We see ourselves and our identity with new vision . . . and many of us are in fact visionaries, or seers: our ideas, new seeds for future change, and genius inspirations for creativity are what will build a solid foundation for a new culture based on an image of fairness and growth for all—man, animal, plant, planet.

While I was Waiting for Magic . . . a teaching on recognising it.

I was away from the Blog and social media for a few weeks . . . my spiritual “nudges” or signs were showing me my Star wanted to download new magic for my teaching—I need calm, patient downtime for that to happen. In the meantime, what I did was leave you with this small but powerful teaching on recognising the magic.

That day I went down to the harbour here in Cabo de Palos, Spain, to say goodbye to someone who’s been very supportive of my teaching since I’ve been here . . . in this area of Spain, the Mar Menor, I’ve met more sincere and supportive people who I think can be friends, than I did in many of the years I lived in Ireland.

Male [pronounced mahley] calls her bar Yemanja – Mother Goddess Spirit of the Sea – and over my coffee I sat looking at her bar logo with a design of Sea Spirit on it, a mermaid with long streaming hair, blue like the sea. I’d realised a few days ago that Mother Goddess had been guiding me by her Sea Spirit since I was 3 or 4 years old living in a small fishing village in Scotland. The thought brings me the “magic” of the vibration of creation in my being.

The main point to this teaching, is that on Saturday a few days before I’d taught our small Zen Meditation class the feminine principle in practice for chanting OMs . . . the teaching and practice of A-U-M with breathflow and body awareness. The vibration that filled the beautiful studio space was amazing as we chanted 3 rounds of OM following our zazen meditation, to integrate practice into our bodymind nature. We all “got” the vibration of creation in our beings.

My own teacher, Sam Singh in Yorkshire England, had asked us all in his group one day to talk about what experience lifted our vibrations and made us feel “bigger than we are”. I had been to an art exhibition in London a couple of years earlier, of Gustav Klimt, Egon Schiele [who shared a concept of “total art”] and their contemporaries . . . to stand in front of and at close range to Klimt’s “Portrait of Adele”, painted in gold leaf, was for me to reverberate and resonate with the vibration of creation of the Universe – It blasted into my cells. I still have the same resonance at the cellular level of my being, visualising that painting in my memory, when I say my prayers for you every morning. For me, this is the vibration of magic.

And my teaching for you is simple. When you’re about to make a decision, overthinking won’t help you realise what choice is right for the next step on your path in this journey. The vibration of magic is the clue and your guide . . . whether you feel, sense, “get” this in your gut, in your toes, your heart or brain—wherever it manifests in your being—this is your guide and your direction-finder.

If I’m allowed – my spirit guides show me when I’m not – I’ll make a small, free, playlist of practices to help you with teachings and put it here on the blogsite. If I don’t, then it’s not time yet for me, and it’s not time yet for you.

Namaste, suzen

Zen is No Cop Out . . . It’s a Way to Thrive

Zenity is my term for “Sanity by Zen” . . .

And there’s not much more sane than you realising that you are actually your own Buddha. Your mind can open up to what is true in your life just for you: liberation by your truth.

For you to realise you are your own buddha is all you need to know.

Zen, or living daily with contemplation and meditation, is constantly changing. It has a Spirit of its own that has been travelling for 2,500 years, let’s say two and a half thousand years. But we know of zen teachings 4,000 years ago.

As a way to a peaceful and joyful life, it has not only survived but thrived – and for a very simple reason. Accepting life simply and exactly as it is, here and now.

Sometimes, we don’t know what we want until we get it. On the other hand, there are times when we don’t know what we don’t want until we’ve got it. Believe you me, I know that to be true. So, in order to be okay – and not be disappointed all the time – we make the best of whatever we have.

This is how we thrive. It’s a Way . . .

And I’ll be a bit “Yorkshire” here – drawing back on my upbringing in the North of England – this can feel like a “cop-out”: as if we’re just making do with a situation that really is unsatisfactory. But this is not just a Way, as in an Art, or a strategy . . . in zen we say, our arts are our ways, so it’s not a strategy to cope. No, it’s not.

This is how we thrive. It’s a Way . . .

Zen, or living daily with contemplation and meditation, is constantly changing.

Your happiness lies in being able to appreciate all the very different aspects of your life and yourself: the whole of who you are . . .  and being in harmony with all those different aspects – a person of Unity.

Namaste, or gassho [whichever word suits you, it means the same]

I honour the Spirit of the Universe that dwells within you,

SuZen

Zenity . . . Sanity by Living Simply With Zen in an Insane World

“Zenity” is my term for the beneficial effects that a zen practice and a regular routine have on us.

So, Sanity by Zen.

Living simply and in the moment becomes the daily ordering principle which brings not only a peaceful tranquil mind, but also the tremendous joy of being able to bring the sacred into life on a daily basis. Sounds more than sane to me.

We had a Zen Sangha [meditation group] in Baltimore, West Cork, Ireland and we met one weekend. We’d been chatting over tea, as usual after our meditation sit, and the conversation once more turned to “Beginner’s Mind” a constant topic for us. I had been reading You Have to Say Something, Master Dainin Katagiri’s book over the previous year or so, and the consensus of opinion was that Master Katagiri talks so well with the beginner in mind, about daily routine. In living with Zen, and with a regular practice, we’re acknowledging and respecting our innate Buddha mind, our individual Buddha hearts and of course our own Buddha nature. So the essence of our life becomes in regularly placing ourselves in a silent, simple place of harmonising with humanity.

Harmony instead of insanity in a chaotic world

So, the daily routine, here is the essence of what Katagiri says: “Getting up is only a tiny activity. It is not unusual – everyone does it. Although there is nothing outstanding about it, the “Goldenness of the Earth” is found in just such activities in everyday life. But instead of attending to such details, we form habitual ways of behaviour by attending to our desires. This is no way to live. We will never satisfy ourselves through such means. If you really want to please yourself, just forget your longing and attend to your daily life. In this we find “Goldenness”. Taking hold of the tiller of the boat of life, grabbing an oar, is called “Living in Vow” – aspiring to awaken each moment. To Live in Vow is to take care of all the little details of life. Like getting up in the morning. When it is time to get up, just get up. Free your mind from the thinking about having to get up. This is the way to enter the doors of a golden, peaceful world.”

I have precis’d the above but in essence what Katagiri was referring to is a saying of Dogen Zenjo, the founder of the Soto Zen school in Japan:

“ . . . the wind of Buddhism makes manifest the great Earth’s Goldenness, and makes ripen the sweet milk of the long rivers.”

Dogen likened life to riding in a boat. Most people just ride the boat of the universe, but this is actually just drifting. And in order to sail across the ocean of human life, we must see the earth as golden and taste the rivers as sweet milk.

So much of Zen is simply beautiful and sweetly poetic

And the beautiful simplicity of a regular practice, which gives the ordering principle daily to your life, is that we get the space and time to unify opposites:

” . . . the boring mundanity of much of daily life is brought together with the sweetness and freedom of breathing”.

Our internal qualities as human beings can be brought together in practice, so for example, emotional strength and also emotional ease that comes with regularity.

And here’s a final word from Katagiri on practice: “When you sit in Zazen. Just sit. But you sit and how many thoughts, and emotions, memories, physical sensations appear from moment to moment and sit with you? Yet this moment is very simple. So why not take care of it with all your heart? To live our lives simply from moment to moment is Zazen . . . the essence of Zen. The manifestation of ultimate Reality.” “Zenity” is my term for the beneficial effects that a zen practice and a regular routine have on us.

We’ve Come out of the Past . . . For a Transformed Way of Life for Humanity

Out of the past we’ve come with a Mission for the healing and hope of Humanity’s future. And the hope for Humanity’s future, I teach, is radical change . . . a transformed way of life.

Western Civilisation is at the end of its life-cycle . . . even though our enlightened leaders, whether spiritual or political, are advocating “progress” as the way forward out of the mess we’ve landed ourselves in.

But, progress only means a “better” version of the reality we’ve got at the moment . . . and being attached to progress only means being held back by ideas, beliefs and patterns that are dying, or at least past their “sell-by date”.

Think about the story of Gulliver’s Travels: a normal person with all his love of adventure, culture and abilities finds himself washed up on a beach and having been tied down by hundreds of tiny occupants of this unknown place. You can think of seemingly enlightened authorities tying you down with hundreds and thousands of tiny ideas, rules and expectations to keep Western Civilisation in “progress” mode. But all these tiny ideas, rules and expectations have been born out of dead culture, outworn social norms and unworkable energetic intentions.

Radical Change

Now let’s think about the difference between “progress” and radical change.

I don’t know, obviously, how aware you are of social revolution in Europe: well, at a time when peasants had to move from rural communities and villages to become city dwellers what happened was Bio-Social-Psychic change. The peasant of medieval Europe, who under the pressures of the new type of national organization was transferred to the state of dweller in the metropolis of a large modern nation, had to experience a change in the character of his relationship to other men and to all kinds of factors in his new environment. This was radical change.

So, now think about transforming a way of life for Humanity on a Global level and what radical change would entail. The change from the national-cultural Western consciousness to an all-inclusive global or planetary participation in a world-society can certainly be expected to be as drastic as was the change for those medieval peasants.

Here’s a quotation from Astrologer Dane Rudhyar in The Planetarization of Consciousness:

The essential point is that there cannot be quantitative changes in the scope and inclusiveness of interpersonal relationships, and in the character of the participation of individual persons in the society to which they de facto belong, without a corresponding qualitative transformation of the fundamental field of consciousness of these persons, of their character and responses to personal experiences.”

We Change

Which means, those of us who know we’ve come out of the past for this transformative moment of radical change also accept that, to be the channels for change, we change the quality of our field of consciousness fundamentally. This is radical. It’s radical belief, and it’s a radical devotion to transformation into a new Global level of being for Humanity. We change our lives radically, and that means the quality and character of daily life.

The way I teach it is with radical devotion to daily practice: daily we affirm out intention for the light and power growing in a layer of consciousness at Humanity level. We meditate, we build power in the Great Soul.

It’s also to radically believe we’ve been called at this moment with a mission, because we’ve done this before and many, many times before: now we’ve come out of the past again.

Power of Synthesis . . . A New “Way” Through Maturity

What our way of transformation means for us, as a Global “Tribe” is the power of synthesis: we’re here as visionaries, creatives, empaths and geniuses . . . as we channel from our ancestors, spiritual guides, higher selves, soul truths a powerful synthesis will happen—because this is evolution— and we’ll grow and evolve into a new and better version of Humanity at a transformational level.

This “way”, by necessity—and necessity brings about inspiration and invention—means mutual respect, bonding, acceptance, open-ness, willingness to experiment. All, qualitatively-energetically-wise, sacred feminine attributes. Or, in plain language, this way will need maturity.

Switch off the Darkness . . . And You’re Free

I’ll leave you with this: as a way to make a thought-picture or to hold this concept in your mind, visualise all the old, tired, worn out, over-played, seemingly enlightened “progressive” illusions and their creators as tiny people on a far-distant beach attempting to hold down your giant being-ness and shrug them off. Like switching all the dark heavy stuff off.

Because that’s what a radical devotion to such huge global transformation needs: simply switching off all the darkness so the light can get in . . . hold the space in your heart and mind for light and power, like a diamond shining out and it’s brilliance reflecting in all the other diamond minds.

When you can do that . . . freedom: you’re free to be what you came here to be.
